Friends Constitution
Friends of Oakfield Park is a Registered Charity.
Funds from Friends of Oakfield Park Fund will be used exclusively to provide additional support for the pupils over and above Local Authority budgeted resources.
- To subsidise the provision of residentials.
- To assist with the cost of school events.
- To facilitate the purchase of non-curricular resources
- To facilitate the purchase of large items e.g. School mini bus
- To enhance the personal wellbeing of pupils e.g. purchase of Christmas presents.
Requests for funding are considered termly by the Friends Committee
The Fund shall be audited annually.
Meetings are usually held on Monday at 3:30pm new members welcome. Below are the minutes from the last meeting.
Friends of Oakfield Park Meeting 13th March 2023

Matters arising
Bank Account - The account stands at approx. £30,000 Evey has checked and due to the Mini Bus fund not needing Friends money as previously thought all this money is available to spend.
Bucket Swing – has been ordered.
Scales and Tails – This was thoroughly enjoyed by all pupils, animals included rabbits, guinea pigs, snakes and a bearded dragon. Thanks to the wider world team for organising the day and to friends for funding.
Games Night - Only sold 39 tickets so far but hopefully more will be sold this week. Games will include Bingo, Beetle, Picture Quiz, Disney Quiz, Music Quiz, Playing Cards Bingo and Stand up Bingo. Pies have been ordered. Cost of £3.50 Adults and £1.50 for Children. Date 23rd March, start time 7p.m.
Jobs assigned as follows: Food Linda & Tracy; Door and Raffle Steph; Picture Quiz Evey; Disney Quiz Sam; Beetle Rebecca; Playing Card Bingo Henri Leigh; Bingo Dale; Advert Nicola; Tombola Wendy; Refreshments Toni. Nicola to request Tombola prizes.

Funding requests
Residential to Lea Green for 14 pupils requested £300 towards their spending money for activities.
MATP would like to purchase 30 Orange printed T Shirts for their participation in the Bronze Award at a cost of £260.
Toni requested funding for a plastic box/container to keep outside her classroom for items for forest school. Exact cost unknown so she will investigate and get back to Friends.
School Council would like two Bench’s to sit on, on the Tennis Courts at a cost of £930 These will be in the same resin as some already in school which have lasted a very long time.
Funding is needed for a whole school Mosaic which will be on the outside wall at the rear of school. A team will come into school and co-ordinate the project, encouraging working together. This will be at a cost of £1000.
Rebecca has requested funding for a bean bag for her class at a cost of £80
All the above funding was agreed by Friends.
Future fundraising
Ackworth Gala – Plans to have a Chocolate Tombola as usual, this is held the las Saturday in June.
Show Days – Raffle on the Days of the Shows. 23rd and 24th May.
Sports Day – Cakes and Cream Teas to be sold on the day.
