Work Experience and Volunteering
At Oakfield Park School we offer a range of Work experience and volunteering for students in Year 10 and above.
- Students Under 16 Can only complete a placement in our Key Stage 3 department.
- Students Under 19 Can only complete a placement in our Key Stage 3 & 4 departments.
- Students over 20 and over can complete a placement in KS3, 4 or Post 16 departments.
A DBS IS REQUIRED FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS OR WORK EXPERIENCE STUDENTS OVER THE AGE OF 19. ALL VOLUNTEERS OR WORK EXPERIENCE STUDENTS AGED 19 OR UNDER WHO DO NOT HAVE A DBS CAN ONLY BE IN PLACEMENT FOR A MAXIMUM OF 10 WORKING DAYS
When a DBS is required it must be an Enhanced DBS.
This can be applied for through Oakfield Park School free of charge but will take about 6 weeks to come through. You need to complete a form and supply examples of ID.
If you are going to be volunteering in a range of schools, you are advised to get your own enhanced DBS which can be done online but you would need to pay for this.
- 3 forms ID – driving licence, bank statement address less than 3 months old, passport.
